Design Research Collective

The Design Research Collective (DRC) is an international interdisciplinary group dedicated to advancing knowledge through design-led inquiry in architecture studios and beyond. Bringing together researchers, practitioners, students, and communities, the collective explores how design can contribute to more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable built environments. Grounded in principles of feminist spatiality, spatial justice, and critical design research pedagogy, DRC examines the relationships between space, power, identity, and everyday life. Through collaborative research, creative practice, and community engagement, the collective develops innovative approaches to architecture, urbanism, heritage, and architectural education, using design as both a method of inquiry and a catalyst for social change.
